Roderick Claybrooks, M.D., ’99, recently wrote "The Black Student's Guide to Success" and self-published the work in 2007. The book has received national attention and Dr. Claybrook was recently interviewed on the, nationally syndicated, “Steve Harvey Morning Show”. Harvey then invited him to be among a group of people from a variety of professions to speak to 100 students at the Disney Dreamers Academy in Florida in January. Dr. Claybrook was featured in a February 3, 2008 article in the Detroit Free Press highlighting his career and recent media attention.
